San Francisco’s local problems demand local solutions. That’s why Jade Tu is running for SFDCCC: to uphold public safety, liveable streets, and to champion high-quality public education. As a Stop Asian Hate activist and Chinese American community organizer, she has the background, experience and track record to be an effective advocate for change.

Jade is also co-founder of the nonprofit Dear Community, which promotes and uplifts Asian voices in San Francisco and works to foster community by organizing events that promote Asian-owned small businesses. She has been an activist in the Stop Asian Hate movement since its beginnings in 2020. After the spate of attacks on Asian elders, she knew she had to take action to make the city safe. As a daughter of immigrants herself, she has championed change in San Francisco to promote public safety ever since. That’s why she was on the front line in the campaign to recall District Attorney Chesa Boudin, and subsequently served as campaign manager in the re-election of the current District Attorney, Brooke Jenkins.

As a lifelong Democrat, Jade now wants to do more to foster change within the party in San Francisco. As part of a new generation on the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee, she will continue to advocate for public safety, public education and female reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights. If you share these goals, then on March 5th vote for Jade Tu for SFDCCC.
